He began his professional career in the year 2014 after moving from Ibadan to Abeokuta. After tutelage under Mr. Olusanjo Adegboyega, he joined a band called Oju Oluwa wo ooo in the year 2013, playing talking drum. The band later metamorphosed into Inter-Reformers in the early-2015, with a long list of album hits on the Premium Media Concept, Ikeja, and Lagos State.
Segun
began experimenting with Yoruba percussion style and expanding on the band by
adding more drum kits, Omele and babta. Segun’s musical strengths lie in
weaving intricate Yoruba axioms into dance-floor compositions.
As
is characteristic of Nigerian Yoruba social-circle music, the Inter-Reformers band
excels in praising God with the Drum set for rich Nigerian socialites and
business tycoons. Segun, however, is also renowned for Christian spiritual
themes in his music and has since the early-201.
Meanwhile, Mr.
Olusanjo Adegboyega has congratulated the multi-talented entertainer and cool
drummer, Master Segun Okeowo, ahead of his 20th birthday, which
comes up on Thursday Mr.
